Job Description

At Neiman Marcus Group, we prioritize relationships and lead with love in everything we do, whether interacting with customers, associates, brand partners, or communities. Our innovative legacy and culture of belonging set the stage for revolutionizing luxury experiences.

Your Role:

As a Weekend Sales Associate, you will serve as a brand ambassador, forging genuine connections with customers and offering personalized styling advice. Your role involves maintaining an organized and attractive store environment, working collaboratively with your team to deliver tailored customer experiences. On weekends, your focus will be on creating fashionable looks that strengthen the customer’s bond with the NM brand. Your expertise in styling, designers, and trends will be essential in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

You will greet and welcome clients throughout the store, initiating a positive customer experience. Building authentic connections with customers and offering personalized styling advice will be crucial. Demonstrating selling and service behaviors will help develop lasting customer relationships. You will follow up on customer requests promptly and handle transactions smoothly. Additionally, you will assist customers across various store areas, including the sales floor and fitting rooms, and stay informed about merchandise, events, promotions, policies, and services. Using your product knowledge, you will drive loyalty and enhance the customer experience, maintaining expert knowledge of styling and brand trends. You will also support operational tasks, including maintaining the selling floor, stocking, and processing new receipts, and ensure compliance with audit and Merchandise Protection Standards. Collaborating with store leaders and peers, you will meet goals and foster a positive team environment, fostering an inclusive and respectful atmosphere among peers and clients. Maintaining professionalism, adhering to work schedules, and following personal presentation standards will be key.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in luxury fashion styling or a strong knowledge of trends and designer brands. Effective communication skills for building meaningful customer connections are essential, as is the ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office, and lift up to 30lb. Previous sales associate or customer-focused experience is preferred, along with a hospitality mindset when engaging with customers. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary. Proficiency with technology and point-of-sale systems, initiative in decision-making, and goal-setting are also important. The role may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Inclusive Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, disability benefits, paid parental and family leave, adoption support, paid time off, a retirement savings plan (401K), life insurance, financial solutions, an NMG Associates core discount of 30%, and personal and professional development opportunities.
