About the Role:

As the Director of Sales and Trading at TD Securities, you’ll be instrumental in developing and managing the Bank’s Sales, Trading, and Underwriting operations in New York. You will ensure all positions are within approved limits, while also working to enhance the Bank’s market share and profile.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Coordinate with other TD operations in New York to help meet the Bank’s objectives.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to the firm’s procedures at both personal and desk levels.
• Market Awareness: Stay fully informed on market data, economic trends, industry developments, and regulatory standards to make informed and profitable decisions.
• Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key market participants.
• Policy Communication: Serve as a conduit for bank policy and strategy communication between product heads and trading personnel.
• Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with TD Securities (USA) policies, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of transactions.
• Business Strategy Alignment: Ensure all business dealings align with approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews – SBRs).
• Trading Authority: For those in trading roles, ensure all trading activities align with the Trading Authority Letter (TAL) and Market Risk Policies.
• Sales Responsibility: In sales roles, ensure market prices are accurately obtained from appropriate traders before entering binding transactions.
• Risk Management: Comply with Credit Risk Policies, ensuring all trading activities align with these policies.
• Governance: Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in line with TD’s policies and practices.

Education & Experience:

• Required Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
• Licensure: Series 7 and 63.
• Experience: 7-10 years of related experience in financial services.
