About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced Ethical Buying Officer to join our team at our National Support Office in Adelaide CBD.

In this role, you will assist in ethical product selection, purchasing, and inventory management to maximize profitability, as well as support ethical buying initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

As an Ethical Buying Officer, you will:

  • Ensure that ethical purchasing and inventory management practices optimize profitability.
  • Meet all mandatory CSO & PBS standards.
  • Support ethical buying initiatives and projects.
  • Provide excellent customer service while meeting strategic goals.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers to achieve successful outcomes.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of the pharmacy industry, including PBS and pharmaceutical scheduling.
  • Experience in inventory management and purchasing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and negotiate with a diverse range of individuals, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, particularly MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Additional Qualities That Will Enhance Your Success:

  • Dispensary experience (e.g., Pharmacist or Dispensary Technician) and knowledge of pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience in supply chain management and understanding of CSO obligations.
  • Familiarity with JDE software.
  • Prior experience in an Ethical Buying Officer role or similar is a plus.
