Role Overview:
As a Mechanic at our service centre, you will be responsible for diagnosing and fixing a wide range of automotive issues, from brakes and suspensions to engines and electrical systems. You will perform routine maintenance, use advanced diagnostic tools, and provide clear communication with our customers regarding their vehicles’ needs. Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment is also a key part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs for vehicles, ensuring readiness for MOT.
- Diagnose and address various mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks including servicing, timing belt changes, and checking tyres and fluids.
- Use diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle performance and identify issues.
- Engage with customers to discuss vehicle problems and repair options.
- Ensure a tidy and safe work area.
- Stay current with advancements in automotive technology and repair practices.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and necessary certifications.
