This exciting full-time position combines two distinct roles: a vicar at St Martins Church and a school chaplain at Twyford C of E School. The vicar role will occupy two-thirds of your time, with the remaining third dedicated to your chaplaincy duties at the school, which involves working two days a week during term time.
Responsibilities:
As Vicar at St Martins Church:
- Provide pastoral care and leadership to support spiritual growth through preaching and teaching.
- Foster numerical and spiritual growth within the congregation.
- Enhance the church’s musical tradition and work with children and young people.
- Engage with the local community, strengthening existing relationships and building new connections.
As School Chaplain at Twyford C of E School:
- Serve as a vibrant and energetic presence within the school, informed by a contemplative prayer life.
- Develop and maintain strong links with St Martins Church while working effectively with both students and staff.
- Contribute to the school’s Christian ministry and support its innovative educational environment.
