Role Overview: As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will be pivotal in shaping a high-performance team and driving excellence in our operations. Your role involves leading a dedicated team, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring that our distribution centre operates smoothly to support our mission of delivering joy and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Inspire and develop a high-performing team by providing clear guidance and consistent feedback.
  • Foster a culture of engagement and trust, promoting Indigo’s core values and high-performance characteristics.
  • Support talent development and succession planning to build a strong leadership team.
  • Conduct recruitment, coaching, and corrective action as needed, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily operations, managing resources and schedules to meet performance targets and budget goals.
  • Ensure all safety and health regulations are met, creating a safe and hazard-free workplace.
  • Utilize best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency across the team.
  • Manage operational costs effectively while meeting or exceeding KPI goals.

Cultural Ambassador:

  • Model Indigo’s values and customer-centric approach, enriching the employee and customer experience.
  • Respond to employee feedback and address issues promptly to maintain a supportive work environment.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration, ensuring all team members are aligned with the company’s mission and goals.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Collaborate with the Director to set and align on annual goals and objectives.
  • Achieve high employee engagement scores and operational targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement through strategic planning and implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including managing other leaders.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Experience with RF technology and material handling equipment is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
