The Bristol Register Office is pleased to offer the opportunity to join our prestigious team of casual assistant registration officers.
You will register and conduct marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies in some of Bristol’s most beautiful buildings including the Old Council House on Corn Street, approved premises and places of worship. Our high performing team is keen to welcome friendly and confident public speakers, who are committed to ensuring that couples and new British citizens have a memorable special day.
You will perform a variety of administrative duties in accordance with statutory regulations. We expect exceptional service for all our customers who reflect the different backgrounds and cultures of the Bristol community.
You will be expected to work primarily at weekends and some bank holidays and may also be offered work during standard office hours.
You must have five GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or relevant demonstrable experience. This role will involve travelling around the area, it is desirable you are able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
Please note that this role is subject to a Basic DBS Check.
